چکیده

Cluster structures within Fermionic Molecular Dynamics T. Neff, H. Feldmeier Gesellschaft für Schwerionenforschung mbH, Planckstraße 1, 64291 Darmstadt, Germany The many-body states in an extended Fermionic Molecular Dynamics approach are flexible enough to allow the description of nuclei with shell model nature as well as nuclei with cluster and halo structures. Different many-body configurations are obtained by minimizing the energy under constraints on collective variables like radius, dipole, quadrupole and octupole deformations. In the sense of the Generator Coordinate Method we perform variation after projection and multiconfiguration calculations. The same effective interaction derived from realistic interactions by means of the Unitary Correlation Operator Method is used for all nuclei. Aspects of the shell model and cluster nature of the ground and excited states of 12C are discussed. To understand energies and radii of neutron-rich He isotopes the soft-dipole mode is found to be important. 1. FERMIONIC MOLECULAR DYNAMICS In the Fermionic Molecular Dynamics (FMD) model [ 1] the A-body state is given as a Slater determinant ∣

Molecular Dynamics Simulation of Al Energetic Nano Cluster Impact (ECI) onto the Surface

On the atomic scale, Molecular Dynamic (MD) Simulation of Nano Al cluster impact on Al (100) substrate surface has been carried out for energies of 1-20 eV/atom to understand quantitatively the interaction mechanisms between the cluster atoms and the substrate atoms. The many body Embedded Atom Method (EAM) was used in this simulation. We investigated the maximum substrate temperature Tmax  and...

Modifications of Internal Molecular Structures of Asphalt Components Due to Physical Aging

The internal structure of a molecule can be presented in terms of intra-molecular (i.e., inter atomic)and inter-molecular energies such as van der Waals, bond and bending, torsion, and inversion energy. In this study, changes in molecular energies of individual asphalt components are evaluated as afunction of physical aging factors. The factors for physical aging such as temperature and pressure...

Temperature Effect on Mechanical Properties of Top Neck Mollusk Shells Nano-Composite by Molecular Dynamics Simulations and Nano-Indentation Experiments

Discovering the mechanical properties of biological composite structures at the Nano-scale is much interesting today. Top Neck mollusk shells are amongst biomaterials Nano-Composite that their layered structures are composed of organic and inorganic materials. Since the Nano indentation process is known as an efficient method to determine mechanical properties like elastic modulus and hardness ...
